The EIPFSPR photoelectric alarm responds to all standard fires but is most effective for smouldering fires such as foam filled furniture fires. For best protection both types of alarms should be interconnected. The EIPFSTR heat alarm head provides a quick response to hot temperatures and is ideal for location in areas where there is constant mist or smoke such as garages. This alarm must be interconnected with smoke alarms on the exit routes.

240vac Smoke/Heat Alarms - Rechargeable Lithium

Advanced technology coupled with long term rechargeable lithium cells has made the TL series a market leader. The EIPFSPTL photoelectric alarm responds to all standard fires but is most effective for smouldering fires such as foam filled furniture fires. For best protection both types of alarms should be interconnected.

240vac Smoke Alarms - 9 volt replaceable

The 140 series is the first choice for contractors for new house builds and for retrofit fitting. The ionisation model EIB141 responds to all standard fires but is particularly responsive to fast flaming fires where little visible smoke may occur such as flammable liquids. For best protection it should be interconnected with an EIB146 optical alarm. The photoelectric head responds to all standard fires but is most effective for smouldering fires such as foam filled furniture fires.

Wire Guard

The wire guard fits over the alarms to prevent damage to the alarms and for unauthorised removal of the alarm.

Mounting Bases

Mounting bases are available for surface and flush mounting of Brooks Smoke Alarms. The use of the relay base allows offers voltage free contacts, this relay base is compatible with the Brooks TL series alarms.

Locator

For use with interconnected smoke/heat alarms. Identifies the exact source of the alarm. The locator silences all interconnected smoke/heat alarms except the unit which initiated the alarm. Automatically resets to normal mode after approximately 5 minutes.

Isolator

Silences nuisance alarms caused by airborne particles such as steam and cooking fumes. Isolates both primary and secondary power supplies. Operates for approximately 5 minutes allowing removal of the nuisance alarm source then it automatically resets to normal mode after 5 minutes. Ideal for the elderly or disabled.

The filter reduces false alarms caused by transient spikes from inductance loads or power supply.

Smoke Alarm Refurbishment Program

As contamination, dust, insects etc entering the smoke alarm sensing chamber is one of the major reasons for false alarms. (This problem is not unique to Brooks alarms but to every smoke alarm/detector manufacturer)

Brooks management and design team investigated the costs benefits in refurbishing these alarms rather than disposing of them. As we are the major supplier of smoke alarms to public housing in Australia a refurbishment program was established with consultation with the manufacturer and Public Housing Departments to ensure ongoing performance of the smoke alarms and maximise their operational life, thus minimising the cost in maintaining the alarms. 

The refurbishment program consists of the contaminated smoke alarms being returned to Brooks where they are cleaned, recalibrated and retested to meet the manufacturer's specifications. The alarms are then returned to be placed back into service.

This service is now available to maintenance contractors and property owners of Budget Accommodation, Hostels, Residential Unit Complexes or any Property fitted with smoke alarms.
